It’s damn fact that your local ISP (Internet Service Provider) Doesn’t have to fastest DNS servers, because of this reason we are getting slow speed while browsing different websites. Our browser needs to look for IP address of every website, every time while we are browsing. And this is the cause of slow browsing.
According to Wikipedia Google Public DNS is a Domain Name System (DNS) service offered by Google. It functions as a recursive name server providing domain name resolution for any host on the Internet. The service was announced on 3rd December 2009, in an effort described as “making the web faster and more secure”. As of 2014, Google Public DNS is the largest public DNS service in the world, handling 400 billion requests per day.
22.214.171.124 and 126.96.36.199 are the google DNS for IPv4 Service. They have also given the facility to public to update their IPv6 as well. The addresses are mapped to the nearest operational by anycast routing. As per wikipedia, Anycast is a network addressing and routing methodology in which datagrams from a single sender are routed to the topologically nearest node in a group of potential receivers, though it may be sent to several nodes, all identified by the same destination address.
